My Shutterfly experience
I got my very first camera when I was 9. I will never forget it-it was a blue and yellow Fisher Price camera. I guarded that camera with my life. It was my new best friend. Days after I got it, I was begging my mom to go back to the drug store for more film. A couple of months ago I was looking through some old photos and found pictures that I had taken with that camera. It immediately took me back to my childhood. Its amazing how a photograph can connect your soul to memories of the past.
Today things are a little more modern. I now sport a digital camera, taking pictures of every flower, bridge, and birthday cake that I can. My family calls me "Ms Paparrazi". They joke about it, but they know they can count on me to preserve our family memories. When I graduated from college I used Shutterfly, an online photo sharing website to store all of my photos from the big day. It was one of the best things I could do in order to share the memories with my family and friends that could not attend. I used the photos I uploaded to make Thank You cards with a picture from the Graduation album. Everyone loved them! When my husband and I got engaged, I used a photo from one of our first dates and uploaded it to Shutterfly to make personalized Save the Date cards. I thought it was cute that all my relatives had our picture hanging up on their fridge!
Today I still use Shutterfly to connect with my in-laws on the West Coast. Its such an easy way to allow people to stay connected, and I love the fact that you can use your online photo albums to make cards and gifts. Its perfect for family Christmas cards and Birthday party invitations.
A picture says a thousand words. And for me and my family, capturing those words from moments from our past mean the world to us. I'm glad to have Shutterfly at my fingertips to enhance my creative moments.
