I am so thrilled to be taking part in Blog Hop '09 . I was so excited to find that I was not the only lonely soul out there not attending Blogher in Chicago. Thanks to Pensieve, and tons of other ladies out there in Cyberspace, I no longer have to feel like a complete loser for being home this weekend. What a great way to stay productive and meet new Bloggy friends.
So..Who is this Non-loser they call Eve? Well,I'm sort of a complicated being with a huge, huge heart. I started blogging last year in order to find a creative outlet. I also wanted a way to ensure that I wouldn't try and strangle my husband, my son, or my dog, who drive me crazy on a DAILY basis. I named my blog 'Are We There Yet' because of its significance to my life. I have had an amazing journey here on Earth. But I am still on a quest to unleash all of my talents and be the woman God intended for me to be. Are We There Yet symbolizes my journey to reaching that place in life where I am completely content with my life's mission. Although I have done some pretty marvelous things in life, I have not yet cured Cancer, found the secret to world peace, or saved all of the starving children in the world. So, you see-we are not quite 'There Yet'.
That's my virtual life...In real life, I am a 30-something married to a Captain in the US Army. I am head over heels in love with my handsome soldier, and I count my blessings every day. I am the stepmom to a pre-teen who tests me with his intelligent wit every single day. I am also the Mommy to a Pooch (General Patton) who will steal any girl's heart with a single glance. My 3 boys keep my life exciting and well worth living.
Meeting new friends in the Blogosphere has been a welcomed addition to my daily activities. I have met some great people who are always willing to lend a hand, or give an encouraging word. While I started this blog as simply a creative outlet for myself, I look forward to expanding it to showcase my talents in writing. I hope that you all will come back and visit frequently; and I look forward to sharing all my new progress!
